After two successful stints in Hollywood films and a stable career in the American television industry, Priyanka Chopra will be back to her home ground with Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bharat’ opposite Salman Khan. It was also reported that she was being considered to play Zaira Wasim’s mother in Shonali Bose’s next. Reports stated that the filmmaker was willing to cast Abhishek Bachchan opposite the ‘Baywatch’ actress.
However, looks like the ‘Dostana’ co-stars have a feud going on with each other. This hostility has been reportedly existing between the stars since their ‘Bluffmaster’ days. As per a report in a daily, it was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was to play PeeCee’s role in the movie. And ever since, Aish was replaced with Priyanka, Abhishek and her relationship turned cold.
In fact, in a recent event, Priyanka also reportedly opted out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production of a biopic on poet Sahir Ludhianvi when Bhansali insisted on Abhishek in the titular role. But, now in Shonali Bose’s project, Priyanka is said to have an upper hand as the story revolves around the bond of a mother and a daughter, and the father’s role is sort of negotiable.
