    Rakesh Roshan has been recently diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma of the throat. He was operated on Tuesday and his surgery went well, confirmed his younger brother and music composer Rajesh Roshan.

     Hrithik Roshan on Tuesday tweeted about father Rakesh Roshan being diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma of the throat. He wrote, “Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family, we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him.”

     The filmmaker was operated on Tuesday and his surgery went well, confirmed Rakesh Roshan’s younger brother and music composer Rajesh Roshan in an interview to Mumbai Mirror.

    “He is better now and recovering well. We were all very tense about the surgery and the entire family was in the hospital with him. God willing, he will be up in the next three days and should be discharged from the hospital,” he said.

     Priyanka and Nick, who tied the knot in Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Place in December 2018, have been making the best of their time together, traveling the world.

They were first seen spending Christmas in London with their family and close friends. The couple then traveled to Switzerland to wrap up a memorable 2018. And now Priyanka and Nick are in the Caribbean.

    While the Kapoors have kept mum about Rishi Kapoor’s health condition, there have been rumours that the Mulk actor is getting treated for cancer. But, brother Randhir Kapoor has once again quashed the reports.

    Speculations around Rishi Kapoor’s health have been doing the rounds ever since the actor took off to New York. While the Kapoors have kept mum about his condition, there have been rumours that the Mulk actor is getting treated for cancer. But, brother Randhir Kapoor has quashed the reports. Once again he has made it clear that his younger brother doesn’t have cancer.

     It so happened that Neetu Singh, on New Year shared a photo of Rishi dining with her and their children Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor. In the caption of the photo she mentioned, “Hope in future cancer is only a zodiac sign.” Her words once again made many speculate about the health of 66-year-old Kapoor. The full caption read, “Happy 2019 🎈 no resolutions only wishes this year !!! Less pollution traffic!! Hope in future cancer is only a zodiac sign !!! No hatred fewer poverty loads of love togetherness happiness n most imp. Good health ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

       Anushka Sharma is currently in Sydney where husband Virat Kohli is playing the Aussies at the ongoing India-Australia Test series. The actor brought in the new year in the company of her husband and the rest of the Indian cricket team as they were hosted by the Australian PM.

     At the recently held See What’s Next: Asia event held by Netflix in Singapore, it was announced that Anushka’s Clean Slate Films will make an original film for the streaming website.

     Titled Bulbul, the film is said to be a period drama set in a village that believes in a lot of superstitions. The film has tones of horror and thriller genre as well.

Anil Kapoor and Sonam as father-daughter was the perfect combination: Director Shelly Chopra.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, starring Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor, also features Juhi Chawla and Rajkummar Rao in pivotal roles. Directed by Shelly Chopra, the movie is scheduled to release on February 1.

Shelly Chopra, who managed to get the father-daughter duo of Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor for her directorial debut Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, says their off-screen chemistry played an important part during the film’s making.

The director says she is fortunate they agreed to feature in the project together, their first on-screen collaboration, as she believes they were perfect for the film.

“Being a father and daughter as they are, it was a perfect combination for me and fortunately they agreed on the script. It’s their first film together.

“They are both professionals and great actors. Somewhere it helps if you are father and daughter in real life. It definitely helped the film,” Chopra told PTI.

The film also features Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla.

Chopra said, “Raj has an amazing role. He is an awesome actor. Juhi too is amazing in the film. They have done something totally different this time.”
